RM Manager Jailed for plundering £16K of Special Deliveries

A similar thing happened in a mail centre I worked at-the shift manager had been stealing specials for maybe a year,but was only caught with 5grand in the boot of his car,the amount he took was much higher,anywhere between 50-100 grand,but he was only charged with the 5 as i suppose they couldnt prove the rest,or DIDNT want to prove it as it would have been bad publicity.I didnt have any sympathy for him-he must have been on 35-40k per year and drove a jaguar but apparently had a gambling habit.On one occasion we were told off and warned about not wearing our cycle helmets-we mentioned the fact that this manager was still suspended and why we were being picked on,line manager said thats another issue,talk about double standards! I did hear that the guy in question now works as a painter and decorator-I wouldnt get a quote from him,its a bit on the high side...

Is it me or did that 'sentence' make no sense whatsoever?

To add my bit.... I hate thieves and I hate RM thieves even more! To put suspicion on your colleagues is f***ing disgusting when we already get a bad press because of scum like 'dazza' nicking stuff. He got what he deserved like all the others. They always come out with some s**t sob story in the court, we all have rough patches in our lives but that does'nt turn us in to thieves!

1. I never "called" Darren - I posted a story about him.

2. He has never done anything for me on a personal basis, unless you count adding to the perception some have that All posties are thieves.

3. I don't have a short memory I have nothing to remember of forget about this thief, just as 99% of people on here, I never worked with him. It has probably escaped your notice but we are a NATIONAL site not a local office site
