Apparently I should've gone straight to the learner DOM instead of the DOM support as they don't have the authority to say what happens to mail. And yes the DOM did say you should deliver everything you take out (hmmm ), also the DOM said that the leaflet I printed out from the link you gave me is about 5 or 6 yrs old, but that doesn't matter now. You guys gave me enough ammo to make them think twice.

I had a DOM that told me that leaflet was out of date, funny thing is when i e-mailed askadam@royalmail they said all the information on the leafet was still valid!
I'm willing to bet if you e-mail justsayit@royalmail.com they will tell you the same thing.

When any manager tells you something like this ask to see the procedure/agreement that supercedes it.
Just because a document has been around for a while doesn't mean it doesn't still stand.
The Way Forward Agreement is 11 years old and still holds the field for many of the working practices that are around today.

I know thats what managers say....but they would wouldn't they.
The only documentation that i have seen that comes close to that is related to the SDD agreement, their is an agreement for managing O/T and cutting off which says in it that "there is a clear expectation that all mail taken out will be deliverd."
As far as i'm now concerned the can expect all they want.

I had seen a simular statement 'there is a clear expectation that all mail taken out will be deliverd' and thought it was from my temp contract but was mistaken. Sorry!
