I have only been with RM a few months and already have been put on 7 different rounds, which is more than most of the staff that have been with RM years. some Permanent staff are just concerned about getting out as quick as they can so that they can finish as soon as they can, some of my collegues have been helpful in showing me the ropes, however others dont want us newbees with them as we slow them down :no no
dont tar everyone if you want support. It doesnt matter to me who is needing help or what
my finish time is rigid
the other day i was told to take out half a walk(managers messed up a shift change blah blah)
instead i teamed up with the new start who would be getting the part i left.and we did it together
i still finished for my time
the new start finished 1.5 hours early
they had no stress as i tied the walk down, took a greater % and the more awkward bits
not everyone is me me me

My comment about money being wasted about Casuals is because I was told by managers that Royal mail pays Agency 20-30 pounds an hour hence a waste of money.I didn't say anything about fixed term contacts. In my office some fixed term people are good some are a waste of space.

Regards to Taff26 moaning about doing 7 different rounds is stupid thing to say.Being new- being on reserve is about learning the area your working in everyone should go through this so you find out who really wants to work for Royal Mail and who is the best person for job. Some of these new people coming in moan whenthey have to do a full delivery. They wouldnt have lasted long when I started 13 years ago[alot of new entrants chucked it in]
