Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Ive been floater all week and today was on a round id never done before.Day started off well, until some bundles of pretty thick letters arrived. These are census reminders our line manager informed us.They werent, they were letters on AV voting.2nd class but all got to go today, half an hour later the census reminders came, for every house. All 1st class so got to go today.I protested that I didnt want to work over my time but was told "we have to pull together, and there isnt anybody to do any of my walk".I started my delivery at 10.10 am and after lumping a crammed bag round and waiting for a timed bag,I finished at 2.25 pm. 2 hours over my finish time.Furious.

Just 2 trays of mech on the frame when i got in which i had prepped before we got called up on the ips. Quite a lot of flats around but its been like that for a couple of weeks now. The 2nd lorry came in whist on the ips and gave me another tray and half of mech. Finished the sorting by 7.10am so got around to the frame and hammered through the mech.
I was all prepped by 8am and looking to be out before 8.30 and THEN it HAPPENEDWe got called back to the sorting for just "a few loose letters guys" yeah right MY ARSE
Two full yorks of letter trays

Anyway did not get out till 9.15am which is about normal and finished at 13.35. But could have been a nice day.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Wednesday... nightmare of a day. Day off Thursday so went out and hit the beers that night. Chilled out on Thursday, but aching all down my legs. The walking on this round really gets to you some days. Back in today, another nightmare. Getting hammered with packets and many of them are recorded deliveries. Look like Ebay stuff to me mostly. Found out today that following my walk testing last week, the distance from the office to the start of the walk is being brought in to question.. ie they think it may be OVER the mile from the office.

With those and two bulky D2Ds, the bags weighed a ton. Mini-rebellion in our section as people refused to lapse. I left at 10.20 and about a third of the rounds were still bagging upSherpas Rule wrote:DFS you utter *****!!!

Gaps everywhere. 4hrs and 10mins. Just short of 5 hrs with the travel time.
