As a rep going into methods soon, you have mentioned everything I have been concerned about.
I know they will fail in my office but I won't be eager to push it through, in fact I will do my utmost to be a pain in the ass!!

speedy didnt turn up today shocker, i am starting to get pressure from my dom and reps rep to be a bit more open minded and positive when asked questions by other posties, so i tell anyone who asks exactly the same thing but with a smile. it looks like they want to put on speedy and speegy mk2 to the duty. why is it that when you ask your dom a question then 10 mins later ask your union rep the same question you almost get the same answer word for word... i thought the union rep was paid to help advise and protect the interests of his members or has the law changed that to. the guy i worked with today been there 6 month didnt know who our union rep was ,when i told him he was so suprised?...he thought he was part of the management team...........

YOU SOUND PROMISING, I THINK THE UNION REPRESENTATION WE GET [OR DONT GET] AS PART TIMERS NEEDS ADDRESSING IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW THE RATIO OF P/T TO F/T,AT THE MOMENT I AM ALL FOR ANOTHER UNION REPRESENTATION THE CLOSED SHOP AGREEMENT THAT EXISTS BETWEEN ROYAL MAIL AND CWU ISNT WORKING ,
boogyman wrote:any office doing the new system of park and loop i would like to know how many delivery points they have on their walks ?
are walks equal ?
delivery points will vary dependant on the two walks they put together the one i have just done had almost 1000,and no the one i just completed was worse for one by over a 100 delivery points where some of the loops were imbalanced.also one of the problems i found was some of the particular loops were overweighted with pkts and sign fors, in other words one of the posties will end up doing the larger share of pkts and sign fors by 70/30 in some cases, i would suggest to agree to swapping loops occasionally to balance this out. after the 1st week these loops will stand out. you should however have an inkling on what to expect by round reputations, hope this helps

It is so easy to get into divisions in the work place.
Personally I represent everybody and the more people I can get back to standing together the better mate!
That's what a union is for and people need to re-group, not be so selfish and get back together in the fight against lies and false promises whether they be p/t, f/t or whatever!!

i hear what you are saying and the census between all at the moment is the same but we lack leadership, direction and most important of all support from the union, and some solid back up,i just want fair and equal treatment from both union and management the most frustrating thing i hear at work when you come across a stumbling block in relation to the job is thats what was agreed by the cwu and royal mail nationally, thats telling me that the union is writing checks its members cant cash
