Regular little home from home then - how do you pay for the electric - surely you aren't getting it for free?

When it first started we managed to get a few things but then it went pear shaped.

Last year we got a snooker table for the sports and social room. :nana

This year we've been told it's not called FLF anymore, we have to ask for what we want and it gets assessed.

A FEW OF US THINK THE PREVIOUS DUM, GAVE SOME VOUCHERS TO A LESS THAN POPULAR COLLEAGUE'S LEAVING COLLECTION, (WHO WAS A SCAB BACK IN '96)AS STAFF ONLY COUGHED UP A TENNER, WE HAVE NO PROOF ABOUT THE VOUCHERS, BUT INSTEAD OF THE TENNER, THERE WAS SUDDENLY £120 IN THE KITTY! :no no :no no

LOL - those were the days - we had coal fires when I was a lad - actually when I was first married we had too. There was nothing quite like listening to the radio, we didn't have TV, with a toasting fork with currant tea cakes toasting over the fire. Trying to see shapes and faces in the flickering flames. We certainly didn't have much money but we also seemed to have something to laugh about and certainly didn't take ourselves as seriously as some people seem to today.
