No i would not stand by the cwu the reps in our office at Hull are more corrupt than the managers they tell us all the time they cant tell us what is happening with jobs and duties and they make things up which they think are right without even bothering to ask us they just look after themselves and the senior people in the office because we are closing down the cwu are a joke

If we are balloted, I will be voting yes.

g06scot has it spot on if we walked without a ballot then it is illegal.g06scot wrote:Fairly sure the deal said that we retain the right for Industrial action if need be.drevil1969uk wrote:If we went on strike now wouldnt it be illegal?

If we were balloted then it would be a legal strike if the vote backed the call.
A lot of people think that the BT2010 outlawed IA within RML - it doesn't - at worst case it made it less likely but that's all.

It certainly didn't outlaw IA but it made it much harder to justify under the terms of the agreement..........however, what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, if RM doesn't abide by the agreement then why should the CWU membership?

Agreements between the your union and your employer are not legally binding anyway, mores the pity.
