I listened to a radio2 phone in on the NI tax rise and they said it's a 1% rise for those on 42k and over and a reduction for people earning less than 42k, i could be wrong though.

Both rates are going up 1%

The rate between the primary threshold and upper earnings limit is going from 11% to 12% (between £139 and £817 pw)
The rate above the upper earnings limit is going from 1% to 2% (above £817 pw)

IF we get it, although I wouldn't put it past Myra and her cronies to plead poverty (they've already shafted us with other parts of the agreement) then I won't see a single penny what with all the increases and cost of living in this country.

Increasing the amount one can earn before paying tax is good so long as its not part of a elaborate give with one hand and take with another set of changes.

I agree Daz.....was only having a joke.
I would assume theres a few LibDem voters who voted for policies like this, but didn't quite expect some of the others they now have to swallow.

Don't forget the change to uprating tax allowances from RPI tp CPI.
That should erode our wages after a while!

He does say tax allowancies....i don't know what ones he means though.
Think benifits have been changed to CPI as well, maybe he gets Child Tax Credits, don't know if thats effected.
Maybe he gets housing benifit thats being cut, the new allowancies may only be uprated in line with CPI.

Actually when you take into account the inflation rate of 4.4% we are really taking a PAY CUT :cry
