tell him 2 fuk off they want us 2 work 4 nothing.
No that is "refusing a reasonable request from a supervising officer" & if that SO is a total bastard, that could also be a sacking.

Hans, just say yes to your boss, take your MR before you leave the office ( and I do mean leave your bench & do NOTHING work related during your MR ), when you return to your bench, get yourself ready, and if you think you cannot complete lapsing & delivery in the time you have, ask your boss what he wants you to do, and then do what he says. If he says nothing ( thiunking that if he tells you nothing you will stay out and complete ) challenge him and ask "WHAT do YOU want ME to DO??? Leave my lapsing, cut off my delivery, or book OT?" ( If you want to do OT that is )

Get your answer from him, have a witness close to you when you ask & don't put up with any intimidation bollocks ( "What are you talking about....you can do both in no time at all!" "Oh really boss? Ok, why don't you come out with me & time my delivery.....why are you running away?" :chuckle ), and don't leave until you have an answer....make sure you put them on the spot, and get a clear decision - that is what they are supposedly paid for.

One last thing, it will be frustrating going through all this, but don't get angry, just smile sweetly & speak very nicely, always give a reasonable answer, and remember they can't feck your day up as much as ... ed theirs!
Totally spot on advice :Applause :Applause :Applause

Well we have the new red jackets now which can easily be converted to TNT orange, very convenient I think.

No point striking I think, we got shown last time how Royal Mail are ready for that with there secret Mail hubs and with high unemployment loads of people applied last time to scab our jobs.
The union was totally shown last time how they no longer have any leverage against management, we lost money for nothing, it's ok for those union fat cats.

After all these years of managers screwing the staff they are now under the same noose, what did they think that they were imune.

I knew how bad Moya Greene was going to be before she even started, you just have to go on YouTube or Google and see how she totally desemated the Canadian Post Office as she helped to privatise it, after all that is the only reason she got this job.

Before the union decides if it should ballot for strikes it's worth remembering in 2009, us London offices lost well over £1000 each over the 19 day strikes we had. Now we're not being paid for the C/S shares.
and where will the union stand if, as could happen they end up with a NO vote. I can only speak for where I work, where the feelings are, I can't afford to lose more money.

I dont see DO's voting for a strike after being left high and dry after the 2010 strikes/agreement
mind you after the share shafting, it was warming to see the same idiots still in early and not taking their break today.....

We as a workforce have done EVERYTHING that is physically possible to make OUR company MORE profitable, MORE productive, MORE efficient, MORE modernised and for what?
I could not give a monkeys about the "phantom shares". I knew what they were going to be worth if RMG group was not privatised by the summer of 2011, so did the majority of this forum!
The average walking postie is being destroyed by their workload, whether we are lapsing or being LIED to about falling mail volumes and STILL we are being told YOU'RE NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH. Oh and by the way, you will be paid less and have to work harder as its the new way forward (part 3 or is it 4,5,6,7,8, or9) as RMG has still not been privatised!!

A guy in our office did that last week... the dom's response was "take it out with you, you never know when you get out there you might find that you can get more done than you think, if not bring it back" To which the guy asked, "then what happens tomorrow?" The Dom responded "Well it will have to go out then" !!

I have always supported the strikes, in fact during the last srtikes i was a sub rep for our office... so there i was on the gate in a grand total of 3 one day 4 another (one of those from another office). Not even my union rep turned up for two of the three days, even tho it was his day off and was paid for all three strike days... watching all 60+ employees walk past the gates, smiling laughing and joking, even some on their days off and one of them an EX union Rep!

Needless to say i am no longer a sub rep however i still pay my subs, but beginning to wonder why when it seems we are shafted from all sides RM CWU and in my case work collegues.

I think that what RM have done over the CS's is a disgrace and the CWU a bigger disgarce because we pay them to screw us. Bigger Mug ME. :left:

Will i cross the picket line next time...? Truly, i don't know.
