Managers are using all kinds of intimidating tactics including threatening to suspend people who question some of their decisions...either they think they have won or else they are trying to cause unofficial action !

I have been a rep on and off for about 15 years and in all that time I have never felt so powerless to confront management due to the lack of help from our leaders and full time officials..The support on the floor is 100% strong but i am very dissapointed as to any help that has been coming from those who are paid full time to protect and serve..There is a growing support everyday to take RM on even more so with these daily attacks on all of us. Unless Ward and Hayes get it together and quickly they are going to find themselves caught up in a dispute which they have no control over. As I have already said the people out on unofficial action two weeks ago put their faith in the NEC and returned to work and the official battle plans. To say that a lot of these people are growing more and more disillusioned would be an understatement.

WE NEED A RESULT AND WE NEED A BLOODY GOOD ONE..WARD AND HAYES ITS OVER TO YOU !

That last bit says it all . . .WHAT'S GOING ON . . . . . . . message to the CWU top boys ; support for you and your tactics is on the way down simply because you are not keeping us informed, you must let us know what's going on if you intend to keep the support of your members in any future action. Without our support you are powerless so talk to us. . .NOW

Was informed by my acting DUM yesterday that the DUM who's on holiday wants everything planned for later starts in place by 4th sept ready for 17th sept implementation??

Have'nt a clue whats happening at present. Nothing has been said about the planning of late starts as our dum is on his jollies abroad at the moment ( probably funded by his bonus) and the relief dum on his day off.
I just hope we're not being taken for fools and that Leighton and Crozier are'nt using the talks to clear the backlog of mail. I'm trying not to be cynical... but we all know the dirty, underhand sort of things that they've tried so far. :no no

BUT we haven't been officially notified . . . . . our area rep told us we needed to be individually notified by letter with at least 4 weeks notice and the same goes for our SA contracts, which will have to change along with the duty hours . . . . we must find out where our area rep got this info from and IF it's correct the DUM will just have to wait :so there

:no no so much for the period of calm :no no
