Are you saying they are stopping pay because you are working to your 318's.
It's already posted on here somewhere, they can't do it,or has it been done?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

it has to be illegal to stop your pay if you have worked your hours. in no shape or form can they deduct it from your pay . i'd be looking to consult an employment ? solictor .i'm sure the union solictors would b of help here .then hit them with that and go for compensation as well as your loss of earnings , stress etc... thats if what your saying is correct

Hi,
This was threatened to be done at our office today, people would of been dragged in to the managers office to explain why they brought mail back, then told pay would be docked. If this had happened all hell would of been let loose and i do seriously believe the delivery staff would of walked out,no staff were challanged about it today.I am lead to believe that union solictors are on to it as i think it is a London office that have done this to its workers,a rep from the execitive committee was at our office today to assure the brothers and sisters that we had'nt been forgotten.Management at our office as i have said before are hell bent on getting us out on the streets unofficial, the DOM is orf his ****ing head and completely barking plus he is being worked by the sector manager who in turn is having his strings worked by the overall area manager,i do believe we are a thorn in the RM's side, due to a cracking union team and support from the membership.
Stay strong lads, but be aware Dave Ward/Billy Hayes if the deal aint good the repercussions from your membership nationwide will be fornorminal.

Stopping your pay for doing your job is highly illegal and is a matter for an E.T.
The reason for the E.T. is unlawful deductions from wages. Get an E.T. form, bang it in to your CWU branch office and get it sorted. It is wrong what they are doing!!!

I know it seems unreal Harry, but it is correct, the threat is there and it has been done somwhere, but the workers did get the loss of pay back, but they are still trying it on.As i have stated dirty tricks, not set by local management but by them higher up in the plush office's.It does indeed seem that our employers are hell bent on scuppering the ship known as "Royal Mail".I've got 12 years to do,methinks its gonna be a long hard 12 years,if there is such a company called Royal mail then is another subject entirelyDirtyHarry wrote:Bleedin 'ell !!!![]()

Who the f**k do RM think they are?
If you're terms and conditions state finishing times, you either work to that time (and bring mail back, or at least stream it before you go out) or you carry on and claim o/t.
You can't just dock payment.
I'm beginning to wonder what kind of company i work for.
Btw, if the person who brought mail back usually claims o/t, but ACTUALLY HAD TO cut off, it doesn't say much for RM's employee relations; which are at an almighty f***ing low anyway..
w*****s of the highest order
