Understand what your feelin cause right now we are not hearing anything, but you have to understand that rumours would be flyin around even more than the pickets if any of the talks got out and that would just lead to misbelief in anythin that was said.

The process has to be conducted this way, and at the end YOU GET YOUR TURN

Yes, honest u do, cause the union will come back with PROPOSALS not an agreement, and then you will be asked for your personal vote on whether it should be ACCEPTED or KNOCKED BACK.

So dont lose heart, its just the way its got to be.

Im not disheartened, just a little annoyed about the way this dispute is being conducted. No time for union bashers me cos its all weve got, but idont see the harm in what ihope is constructive criticism and debate.
Ithink it was an excellent pr move to offer IA suspension in return for talks.
The rolling action was ibelieve ,inspired, though you could argue that rolling regional action,ie 2regions out every week so striking one week in 5, might have been easier to coordinate and would probably have had greater impact media wise.
I think it was a tactical error not to withdraw the suspension offer once the rolling action began because of the cumulative nature of its effects,and the fact that such a pause plays into RM's hands{when do you think the terrible twosome will decide to turn up sept. 3?}
I think it is a mistake not to be fully transparent about the talks, scotch the rumours publish daily minutes online. It is the lack of accountability and information that causes rumours just look at the la ter starts thread.
Will the union produce an offer ballot without without a RECCOMENDATION of acceptance. If they dont we all know the result bad deal or not. I fear there is a danger of us being manipulated and this dispute being "managed"
In short idont think this is the way it has to be there is always an alternative but i'm happy for all to disagree. lol :Very Happy

I agree! IA i.e. striking ( or withdrawing our labour ), is the only 'weapon' or option that we, the workers have left to defend ourselves! By being a union member, I have placed my trust( as well as pledging mine) , not only in my fellow members, but in the office bearers who have promised to work on our behalf and to defend the rights which have been hard won( and sadly decimated) over the years. But we must NOT give in! We MUST have patience and faith that our CWU will not let us down and that we WILL win this fight. Brothers and sisters- stick together and have faith in each other!!
