Most managers will not get management positions in other industries because there "skills "are not useful in other industries. Many posts on here have said we have to many managers so this was to be expected.Hopefully now the managers that are left will see RM directors for what they are, two faced liars and start to treat the workers with more
respect.Postal workers have been shafted in the pocket for far to long and now it's the managements turn to see how it feels.They will now worry who is to go and what the future holds.Whilst we have had some good managers over the years,more recently they are upgraded posties with poor memories of how hard the job is.

1000 managers going. Im sure they will have no trouble getting another job though, compared to other people. A Royal Mail manager will have an excellent cv of skills and experience as well as coming from a sucessful company.

Be careful what you wish for - it is inevitable that the ones that go would include almost all of the ones we wouldn't mind keeping...... ie any that show common sense, a degree of fairplay or an ability to manage people for the benefit of all concerned. We may well be left with the worst options as managers from our point of view.

That's the agreed rate however from what i've heard they are being offered a reduced package of around 76 weeks,if they refuse....it's 90 days and bye bye.
You are still looking at a £50k+ golden though.

The good managers will get axed the s--t will stay, the way forward my arse RM is being set up to fail any idiot can see it,common sense has gone and the get what i can attitude within this company is rife,managers and staff are miles apart in there interests, thats the problem, teamwork is not a word rm understand,that is why they will sink.
