Bang on.I think some people are getting the undoubted bag o shite that is 2010 beyond and trying to say its the inevitable
outcome of any strike action and quite frankly bubbling like wee babies..

We have made it clear that we will take whatever steps are necessary to get things back on track...
Not sure i like the sound of that. :cuppa
Get you old bin and some wooden pallets ready! :nana
I don't think that is the direction that statement is pointing to.
Quite the opposite in fact.. :cuppa
And I agree.........even more worrying is the knobsters banging on about "keeping the post public" ........there are more pressing problems to be dealt with NOW.............frighteningly its a "lets get round the table and chatter incessantly" - get the CWU to the membership and ask them for their reaction to this set of circumstances and get to Royal Mail with a set of hard line proposals.

There appears to be a little bit of creative accounting going on by Royal Mail and what the CWU needs is a detailed breakdown of the valuation and an independent scrutiny of those accounts.

Perhaps the CWU should immediately stop working on the revisions that are planned, until Royal Mail sort themselves out. As it looks like they may have gone outside part of the 2010 agreement. After all this is all gearing up for the sell off, less mail centres, less staff and no money. So did the cwu know this during the negotiations?

The union finished for me at last agreement, £3 per week better off.
The union could not care about it's members while you keep them in work.
If you threaten their ability to earn then maybe you might get somewhere.
If anyone striked again then they deserve everything they get.
People talk about standing together to be heard, then you get a union talking
for you, on your behalf.
When others speak for you, you lose.

2 first world war generals prepare thier troops for the next big push. the battles of 2007 and 2009 caused many casualties, but our generals told us we were moving toward a land fit for hero,s. how many of the exhausted troops will go over the top and charge the barb wire this time? is thier a new general waiting in the wings to lead us to victory?
