Re: What should be the unions response?
There`s plenty we could do. Why not start at our start time, take our full meal relief, finish at our time, don`t protract, refuse to do any overtime (inc your days off) and put all the problems that this would cause firmly on the DOM. After all, the DOM is paid to run the office and solve problems. Nobody would be doing anything wrong if they just worked their designated hours and then went home free of worry.windermeredave wrote:lets all go on strike..ang on a mo, what happened last time?...bottom line is theres sweet FA we can do about it.

Get the rest of your office to join you.(I`ve tried but the usual office pets and favourites just carry on working for nothing and still trying to make some time)custard wrote:ihatedogs wrote:There`s plenty we could do. Re: What should be the unions response?
thats such a defeatest attitude and why we are in the position we are nown if it weren,t for us those above could,nt
be in their position . the working class always hold the key to society they just dont realise it . if we dont do it do you think upper classes are going to get dirty no dont think so.
we are far stronger than you may realise this is why ( they)keep us in positions of need and dependency
just in case we actually realise it and do something about it

Re: What should be the unions response?
I know what the CWU response will be.....
'We the CWU are doing everything in our power to shift the blame onto someone else for this fiasco. Although the colleague shares are worthless, and 3500 jobs are going, lets look on the bright side. Those that lose their jobs won;t get shafted by either of us again, and for the rest of the staff there are plenty more pay deals just like this last one, in the pipeline, for future years.'
'Basically, RM staff can kiss the big arse of Billy Hayes....'

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Strikings finished for us posties,we've just negotiated the worst deal in history from a position of extreme strength, anyone who thinks we would gain anything from a position of weakness is sadly deluding themselves!
