I also still think there will be some sort of management buyout of RM prior to it being sold on for mucho profit. The fact that the company appears to be worth zilch fits into my theory lol
Will post a link and the story when it hits the wires

Overall cash lump sums on offer through the course of the agreement, linked to transformation, are likely to exceed £2,500. This includes an enhanced approach to colleagueshare.
this is in the 2010 AND BEYOND:Agreement so to me all is null and void

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
The Union has been told by Royal Mail that the company will be announcing to all employees this week that they are experiencing serious financial difficulties, that they are developing a new business plan and that the value of Colleagueshare is likely to plummet.
The company have explained that the reasons for this are as follows:
- A harsher fall in revenue, profit and volumes than was forecast in the original business plan agreed with Government
- Slower than anticipated progress on modernisation
- A new business plan, in the process of being agreed with Government, that downgrades the future expectations of the company
In response to these announcements the Union has told Royal Mail that we have major concerns about these developments. A letter has been posted to all members’ home addresses and an advanced copy of this is attached.
In the meantime it is important that all CWU Representatives convey the following key messages to our members.
- The Union does not accept that Colleagueshare could have plummeted from a valuation of around £1400 as late as last September – to virtually nothing.
- The company must find a way to honour the previous Colleagueshare commitments and maintain the cash benefits due to our members
- The Union has major concerns around the potential impact that a new business plan may have on all existing Agreements including job security, pay rises, lump sums and the shorter working week
- We are calling for urgent meetings with the company and Government to address these issues.
We will keep you informed of developments.
Yours sincerely
Dave Ward Billy Hayes

How can they keep saying the mail volume is declining? do they not count the dsa mail that we have to deliver? Are royal mail lying over the figures regarding the volume of mail or are they just that incompitent they dont understand how the company works anymore. Id like to see some of the big wigs who come out with these figures work in a delivery office for a week, see how they like coming home and just wanting to collapse and waking up in the morning feeling as if you've just run a marathon.
Why cant the CWU get mail volume figures that include dsa mail and packets and flats? It'll be interesting to see what the union says about this. It's yet another thing we've been promised under the 2010 agreement that while we've been honouring our part of the deal royal mail havent honered theirs.
39 hours week ? NO
More saturdays off? NO (longer working saturdays instead)
Prep time for D2D's NO
More that 5 D2D items to come in one envelope? NO
Collegue share money? NO
Why then do we as workers have to keep going through office revisions if Royal Mail seem unwilling to honour their part of the deal?
Well in my opinion, the CWU and RM have been in cahoots for a number of years now, with the CWU always bending over and taking it up the tail-pipe from RM. Weel i personally think that the staff should take a stand, and all staff cancel their union subs at once, considering that they have done nothing to help staff over the recent years.
Staff have backed them in all industrial action, lost pay because of them, and for what, so RM can come back and tell us that the phantom shares are exactly that a worthless phantom.
If we all cancel the subs, we'd all be pocketing at least £130 a year, because it seems to be more use in my pocket than it does in their the useless tw*ts.
I will be setting up and online poll to see how many staff agree with me on this one.....

Or the 3.4% for next year! Still it's not all bad news.........at least we've managed to secure longer delivery spans and given away our d2d money,i'm sure those parts of the deal will be protected in some way!

No, we lost the envelopes for the D2Ds. The letters are down remember, they can't afford them.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
