Re: Killing off.
My office have been doing their own 'kill offs' for years. Unless you are mates with one of the managers and then you just leave them all until you are on leave then your cover has to do them. After killing them off you also have to put them in the right trays......mechable letters with return address, manual letters with return address, letters with no return address...........same with flats and packets
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
Illegitimi non carborundum

Re: Killing off.
Nowt to do with kill offs but I get loads of mail in my sequenced boxes where the senders address is printed on the franking label and the machine reads this instead of the delivery address.PhilthyPhil wrote:You should never put the red sticker over the address. If RTS are faced correctly ie all with the return address on the back of the envolope facing forwards, then they should not come back in your mech trays. Letters with the RTS address on the front should be trayed separately for manual sorting.
Also, if my cover man leaves the kill offs for me I just bundle them up first thing, and hand them to my DOM. How he deals with them is up to him, but they never come back to me.

Not quite sure why you don't have time to do it. It is part of your duty. There is time ; or ther is not time. What is not understood about that. ?enzio wrote:we have been doing it for a year but since park and loop has come never have time to do it so some thing good came out of park and loop

Actually... I should rephrase that... There is time , it is part of your duty. Your choice what you do afterhampshireman wrote:Not quite sure why you don't have time to do it. Eric Cantona wrote:We have been told at our office from April 2nd when we kill off the mail its up to us now to strike a crayon over the address and ring the return address on the back of the envelope and place it in the appropriate box for returns. Another time consuming issue. As if we haven't got enough to do.
Anyone else doing this?
been doing that for over 3 years

Re: Killing off.
A customer on my walk saved all his unopened junk mail & asked me if I could kill them off, which I did back at the office using the red stickers, over the past two weeks I have had quite a few other neighbours on the same street giving me piles of their mail to kill off, seems they have a street WhatsApp group & he posted what I did on it, are we okay doing this?
