The difference Belial is that one is making all the noises, and the other lot have gone to ground.

They fail because like every other firm i have worked for they want their pound of flesh ,everything is about profit ,profit before people .
The top nobs dont give a flying fu** about what you have to do, a computer program has told them you can do so much in that time so why cant you do it
The dims are all programmed to spew out their sh*t targets must be met ,our office is a shambles at the minute we are 3/4 of the office using the new del methods, only the ones who come in early are anywhere near finishing on time which gives a distorted view ,too many saddos giving their time away for nothing making others look bad in the process
cut off bring it back fu** em theyre not bothered so why should we be
when i am king you will be first against the wall
with your opinions which are of no consequence at all
anyway im cutting off

Any business that has lost 51% of work to DSA access therefore reducing revenue and are paying for the largest pension defcit in the UK.

WHO NEGOTIATED THE DSA it was not the workforce but the same people who thought up the idea of these so called revisions, RM are solely to blame on this , short sightedness the same as packet increase how long has internet shopping being going on 5+yrs when e.bay really took off.

This week we have been in our first week of Table top revision, is it working NO if folks are not cutting off then others are claiming O/T all walks were suppose to be the same in length and time yet some walks are finished at 12 midday and some are going too 2pm and beyond,

Walks have been split and ips is a nightmare.

We are doing 3hrs Indoor work, May folks are taking DD home to prep :arrrghhh :no no unfortunatly this does not show there is not enough time.(not me I hasten to add)

So far I have claimed O/T 3days out of 4, come next week I will be cutting off especially when the census comes in

But I am sure my manager is thinking it is working and will get a bumper bonus for the so called hours he saved
I have never been so knackered

I think revisions are failing because there is confusion from the top downwards as to royal mails raison d'etre.
Is it a service or a business or a hybrid ?
To apply quantitive data solutions to a qualitative problem or vice versa is to input certain failure of the end result isnt it ?
Also, to think that any human construct can achieve 100% efficiency uninterrupted is to deny reality, I doubt any machine or business can run on anything more than 75% of its capacity for a prolonged period before crashing or breaking down.
In short, I dont think they know what they are trying to achieve in the first place (service or a business) and therefore will only ever get a shambolic service or a bust business.

This is spot on.
It also explains why some weeks "the budget" is the most important thing. The next week we can throw shitloads of money at small problems because "Q of S" is the top priority.
Someone has to decide
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

The regulatory framework is being dismantled as we speak.
It's shambolic service all the way from now on.......
Of course with this management regime it could still mean bust business.
Expect many more management compulsory redundancies...no private investor will want to inherit the mixed message values of those in charge now.
We need to be worried...management should be looking for a change of underwear....they are virtually obsolete inside the business and they will be virtually unemployable in the outside world with Royal Mail failure is their main work experience.

No good, A burger flipper has to actually do some work. I cannot for the life of me see what the overkill of management does. Except the work of a postie or phg but at a higher wage. I must be missing something, for instance maybe the "real" work is done once we have gone out on delivery ?

No i'm just back from a couple of weeks indoor and i can vouch for the fact that barring a trip to the local Tesco for breakfast they do absolutely feck all while you are out on delivery apart from the morning conference call which comprises of four managers all saying "yes sir...i'm sorry sir" in unison....or should that be Unite.
