It doesn't matter if they tell us to put them individually, or if some bright spark that sits behind a desk making unreal ideas for us to deal with. The end result is just work your required hours daily, and if you have to send mail back, do so. Or claim overtime (if you can).
RM don't know what they are doing, nothing will change. The muppets are running us.

Then what?
Raise a grievance?...go to disagreement?...for being asked to prep D2D individually. :left:
Or just get conducted for something completely trivial like a mug.?
You're a manager's dream....all gob...no firepower..
Must be a very weak office.. :cuppa

wrong, we are a strong office must have sent at least 6 dom's and some som's to the funny farm in our time, we don't do lapsing and are always the last office to sign up to any deals. Bet we are 1 of the strongest office's in the country. Nobody ever gets conduct coded only for really excessive time off.
You aren't a strong office claret, like many on here, you have weak management.............I am an OPG.......however, if I was manager you would be doing things accordingly OR you WOULD be conduct coded...........and you would be sacked because not wanting to do something is NO defence .....

Spot on DVB

Gross misconduct dismissal that only requires one event which if it amounts to gross misconduct is capable of giving a ground for dismissal on this basis.

This is the difference between misconduct and gross misconduct. In order for something to amount to gross misconduct it has to be so serious as to go to the root of the contract. Various examples of gross misconduct include:
• Fighting
• Being drunk on duty
• Stealing
• Harassing people
• Subjecting people to racial abuse
• Failing to obey reasonable management instructions

There are many more examples of things that can amount to gross misconduct and this list of examples is by no means exhaustive.

I dont see the problem with putting them inside eachother as long as they dont go through the postbox that way! I put them inside eachother and when im at the house i take the inside ones out!
My uncle gets his d2d's delivered inside eachother and if the outside d2d is of no interest it does not get opened and the whole lot get thrown in the bin! Thats where rm is coming from and rightly so!

Wouldn't that be a manager doing OPG work?We wouldn't have that in my office.
Do your kill offs and cut off.
You must work in a real weak office.
Grow a pair.

What if the only other option was mail left undelivered in the form of whole deliveries not going out? Money rules and if its saves money then a DSM will be very happy to see his mangers out doing a whole delivery.

Yes Daz...that's it from a management point of view...but we aren't managers and from an OPG point of view a strong office would not allow and certainly never encourage a manager to do OPG work.

It could be argued that by allowing managers to do OPG work you are:

a. Stopping overtime for OPGs
b. Falsifying the figures for either/or indoor or outdoor work thereby running at figure below what is necessary
c. Worrying about what is a management problem, which should not be agreed by the CWU

Or D, a lack of staff and a reluctance for what is in my view too long a time period to recruit. We are now recruiting for 2 X FT and 1 X 30 hour and 1 X 22hour OPG's.

Trust me when I tell you my D.O is the best place to be if your overtime baron, we have OPGS in on their day off performing O/T 6 days a week every week at the moment and its been this way for sometime. Sick leave and a shortage of staff against AWD has created this situation. However when it comes to Saturdays there is a smaller pool of OPGS wishing to work their day off thus meaning at times its the DOM doing delivery and Im sure money must be why DSM has not been authorising the use of casuals.

So how does a "strong office" in this situation stop a manager doing OPG work and get the DSM to authorise casuals? :hmmmm

We've got the 1/6 a day and prepping into frame thing starting tomorrow at our place. No-one has done either up till now.

Won't make much difference to the part-timers like me, but nearly all the full-timers have their's done by Tuesday. Should be an interesting week :cuppa

Well I am sure you can answer that question yourself whilst attending your weekly resource meeting where, by all accounts, there is full consultation and trust and a true reflection of manpower to workload - or not as the case may be............oh and if you disagree with the plan, well that would be disagreement...................or you could just go with the flow.

Rule 13.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
