A POSTMAN is facing the sack and an animal cruelty probe after being accused of killing a little girl's cat on his round.
Alan Vincent, 37, was allegedly seen hauling elderly tabby Tiddy out of his mail trolley after the pet jumped in - then tossing her over an 8ft hedge.
The injured cat died soon afterwards. Two women claim they saw what he did. And Vincent, delivering in Windsor, Berks, has been suspended from his £300-a-week job.
He has been interviewed by police and Royal Mail bosses, and is due to be quizzed by the RSPCA.
Tiddy was one of eight cats owned by nursery worker Ami Hartridge, 33, and was the favourite of her two-year-old daughter Tallulah.
Ami said: "Tallulah is inconsolable." Her partner, security officer Steve Hughes, 49, added: "This man has taken something precious away from our family. When you think of postmen you think of Postman Pat and his black and white cat, not this."
Vincent, who lives with a girlfriend in Feltham, West London, had not been reached for comment last night.
Bank clerk Mary Bale, 45, became a hate figure last year after she was seen throwing a cat in a wheelie bin.

Re: Postie ‘killed girl's cat’ on round
People will only ever remember us posties (or him) as doing the really bad things, and this was really bad. We may not all be aware of it, but we are sometimes seen (literally) as the ambassadors of what we do. Maybe 'ambassadors' is too strong a word, but I just can't think of a more adequate word right now.
I blame RM meself, mostly for not giving this silly sod enough time to even think about what he was doing, though personally, anyone doing anything similar must be a complete t*ss*r, in my opinion.
We posties do things differently, but we still get shot at!

I'm afraid the Tory papers and RM will hang that guy to dry . This Lib Dem cat killing piece has only been in the Daily Mail and on Lib Dem blogs and this http://keeptonyblairforpm.wordpress.com ... ate/...but" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; the Lib Dems are part of the coalition government ...so it's all right then

One ....literally larger than life Lib Dem MP was the Rt Hon Member for Asbestos and had punishment/ child sexual abuse allegations which the Police and the CPS apparently took very seriously ...kept out of the Nationals ...he never sued and " Private Eye " has been sued enough times !...http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-storie ... -22536078/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://chrispaul-labouroflove.blogspot. ... -life.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://aangirfan.blogspot.com/2010/09/c ... ttoms.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'm sure it had nothing to do with a proposed Liberal - Conservative pact

that's how that Toddler ( 2 ) would have seen Postmen .....I remember a thread on here about a postie fatally booting a very small yappy dog & someone making a silly comment ...the reply from someone AFAIK was you've obviously not got kids / partner / married ...try putting a inconsolable 5 yr old to bed or you've never had to

Re: Postie 'killed girl's cat' on round
I think this is a little more serious than being smeared. Kicking a dog 13ft up in the air after the little fugger attacks you is one thing, but throwing a cat over an 8ft hedge. Come on, who in their right fugging mind would want to do that? It's one thing to think of wanting to do that, but in real life, people just wouldn't do it.
We posties do things differently, but we still get shot at!

There was no need to throw the cat out of the trolley OR over the hedge. The guy must be a complete moron to do that to an old cat and should be sacked and prosecuted.
Being in a rush is not an excuse to harm animals you might come across just as it is no excuse to lets say drive over the speed limit and knock down a child outside a school.
