Re: household prob/advice.....again!!
i thought we could only do a max of 6 d2d a week so if you carry 5 over then you will only be able to do one next week so you would have to roll over again till you catch up

It doesn't say anywhere that there will be a maximum of 6 D2D.enzio wrote:i thought we could only do a max of 6 d2d a week so if you carry 5 over then you will only be able to do one next week so you would have to roll over again till you catch up

Re: household prob/advice.....again!!
You shouldn't really put them together at all. Let alone at home. In your own time.

Re: household prob/advice.....again!!
Anyone who doesn't deliver them will be very lucky to not be charged with wilful delay and dismissed.
I know of two cases now were men have been dismissed for not delivering them,
Their excuse "I didn't have time to prep them as the full time Postman who preps my frame didn't put them in."
Were told "You should have raised it with the manager and not taken it upon yourself not to deliver them"
Here's your P45.
ANYONE who gets away with not delivering them should think themselves very lucky.
First port of call should be the manager and put the responsibility onto him.
If he advises you not to deliver them make sure you have a witness to that.
I don't see why people don't!!!
More work indoors, later out the office, less of a delivery to do!!!!

If you just walked out and left a tray of letters under your frame you would be lucky to keep your job...the excuse that you didn't have time to prep them wouldn't help at all.
If you think that the fact that they are D2D makes any difference...you need to lay off the cooking sherry.

You still in a job then?
surely the correct way to say that, is to use the word HAVE [should have]
and not should OF![]()

Re: household prob/advice.....again!!
I suggest that you should put 1/6 of your leaflets together on monday when you arrive at work, and then throw your work in. When you have completed all of that you should tell your dom that you have not got time to complete your walk.It will then be his problem and not yours.

Surely he should 'of' started his post with a capital letter.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:banddy wrote:POSTMAN wrote:Should of taken the D2D'S when you should of and either cut off or claimed.

Thats a bit off topic but RMC has over the years accepted less than perfect spelling and inaccurate grammar, unless to highlight it is funny. The Grammar Police on here are usually subject to a bit of flak so hope your tin hat is ready.![]()

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: household prob/advice.....again!!
The whole thing is a joke,it was rammed down our throats that the quality before was s**t and that the new agreement would raise the quality and revenue ect ect.
If anything all it has done is worsened the quality ffs.

I have to say that isn't the agreements fault.POSTMAN wrote: If anything all it has done is worsened the quality ffs.
The guidelines are sound and it isn't rocket science it's just that same old, same old attitude from members AND management that D2D is somehow...just not important enough to give a s**t about.
That..and the attitude that the completion of your delivery is all important and means that you can let other things slide.
Members and management need to realise that if you haven't taken the D2D...you haven't completed anything.

Is this allowed? as d2ds are now classed as live mail, are you not leaving yourself wide open for disciplinary action?cyclemech1 wrote:Some tw@ts in my office still take them home on Saturday to put them all together on Sunday!!

Re: household prob/advice.....again!!
Someone in my office came back last week after a week off to find all the previous weeks D2D's prepped into the frame ready for him on Monday morning. Where do you stand when that happens?
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets
