3 hours of unwanted overtime, home for 5, should have been home for 1:45.

Told ½hr after I got in this afternoon I was going out. Still on frame, no pouch trolley ready, no lift ready, 1st letter 2:50pm, last 4pm, walked back (takes FAR too long to get a lift back, once I've even got thru' on the phone )

Behind on d2ds, made a mess of my own prep today (four missorts!), feel knackered. Idiotically took a long journey to go and watch my team lose last night, didn't get to sleep till 2am (up at 6am). Feel like a prat, hate my football team, hate work, hate my body (it's giving up on me). Hate the walk I'm on (it's a monster), hate being on a part-time temporary contract all the time. Hate feeling like I want to quit but not having the gumption (nor, more importantly, the life security) to actually be able to do it. Oh well, time to go and cry myself to sleep (not really but you get the picture).

What a bloody awful day

Got totally bombed with packets, i swear they have been held back to clear the census. Had to break it down more with the trolley so it took longer to get round 5hrs. It was blowing a gale by the time i finished and my delivery card got blown away at about 50 mph whilst i was unpacking a bag from a drop box. Tried looking for it but it was gone so another 10 min wasted there. Got home about 2.50pm totally wiped out. Had a hot bath and sat on the bed where i promptly fell asleep, just like that

Anyway my step daughter comes home from school at 3.30pm and has forgotten her key so is ringing and hammering on the door but iam so tired i hear nothing. In the end she climbs over the side gate and comes in the kitchen door. So guess who's in the dog house tonight

Its quite worring though how tired i was to go out like that

Spent the day chilling out. Heavy night beers wise yesterday. Went to this place for a tour and a good sampling session, all free, except for the £10 for the mini bus.

Walk took me three and a half hours. Shame I didn't get out till 10.30am. Shame my bags didn't turn up till 11.30am. Shame it's apparently my fault that I have to book time to finish. Oh, and nonsense number 1 of the day - apparently, having two mech bundles to chuck out when you walk in is 'to be expected' (I paraphrase a little there). It is 'to be expected' that I shall cut off in future - only reason I didn't today is because it was a nice day and I'm getting fat.

Very busy today, had 5 mech trays of letters 2 mixed box of flats, 2 boxes of flats, loads of census and door to doors and still managed to finish 30 mins early

Pissed off ( on my day off ), after my car crash a month back, I asked for it to be considered as a sick day ( so as not to lose a day's pay - earning zero OT at the mo ), found out with this weeks pay slip, it has been considered as unpaid leave so I called HR, had it confirmed as that date, and what I needed to get done ( ie rely on managers ).

So I called the DOM Assist, he said it should be pretty easy to get sorted but my lino at the time would have to confirm it ( that's why I called you in the first place, cos he's an a-hole ).

So with gritted teeth I called this lineo, reminded him I'd asked for it to be a sick day when I was stood by my wreck, and he said no bother, he'd check with the DOM later on....hold on, what has the DOM got to do with it? If I want a sick day treated as such, then thats the end of discussion, surely? And getting whizzed off to the 'ozzy in an ambulance, strapped to a spine board, must qualify as "sick day". Anyway, from what he said, it was clear it wasn't going to be his choice whether I got paid or not, but if I did, I'd be owing him big time for the privilege

So yes, I'm pissed off cos with no warning, I'm short of a day's pay, and now I'm wondering if I can afford what I need to survive ( and having packed in fags and junk food for Lent isn't helping - I'm thinking maybe I should at least allow myself sugar in my tea & coffee again )
