So, some asshat comes up to me in the street and asks to look at my bag, how the do i know if he's who he says he is? He could be showing me his tesco's loyalty card for all i know, without actually having seen the real McCoy previously.

What happens next?
The one with 2 letters gets taken down the conduct code.
The one with D2D gets made up to acting manager.

After 12yrs service I have been stopped and checked whilst out on delivery a couple of times but now if it were to happen again I would ask them to take me back to my D.O. to do it in front of a witness I just don't trust the feckers

I would do it too . Inconvenience the fkers and make them finish your round cos they stopped you .

Most dont have anything to hide .......... So it IS a good thing they are doing it to catch the thieving bar stewards BUT if they choose to do it to me then its back at the DO .

I would love to be stopped by the IB in the street. I would also attempt take their ID badge and why not even pretend to phone the police in front of the IB lol.
I'd also insist on management driving me back to the office.
Definately inconvenience the buggers in every way.

Even if the IB have what seems to be a legit ID card, you can never be sure. Not that hard for a random guy to look important.

By rights surely you could just tell them to f'off and carry on with your round? Not like they can do anything.
