Having break wondering what all the fuss about.
75% of census forms all prepped and bagged up to deliver.

Not as bad as i thought it was going to be.
No D2D's so that was a bonus. managed to get nearly three quarters of the census delivered and got a nice bit of overtime pocketed
First letter 10.00
last letter 14.05
Could have been a lot worse

Got hit with a bulk mailing today, every house
was out for over 6 hours and it was good to see only us rurals coming back at that time when all the townies have been home for hours.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Came in this morning expecting to throw in mech into a frame with d2d & cencus already prepped ( I was back early on Saturday, so I prepped it before I left )....and I got told I had to go to the other office
, so I go down and find an empty frame & start fecking around with d2ds and census again before starting on 3 trays of mech, and all the ips mail....
All in all there didn't seem to be the usual amount of Monday mail , and hardly any packets, but with the census & 5 d2ds( yeah, feckin' 5 of them....what Poindexter thought we could do the same d2ds as last week with the census?
) I still had 7 bags, and cos we couldn't book any OT, we all had to bring some back ( I had 1 and a half bags, about 90 - 100 calls ) and with tomorrow being a "short" day I can't see us clearing the census in the 3 days we've been told we got - oh dear, what a shame, never mind....it's not my problem if the OT is screwed to a minimum, and nobody asks our opinion if something is achieveable before deciding it is.

Was quite pleased I was "allowed" out today, only 2nd time in nearly 2 weeks ! 2 trolley pouches, just over an hours worth, calling at every house with census but that did make sifting thru'em quite easy. Pity about the missorts I had to backtrack for (I didn't prep it), then having to wait over ½hr to get me lift back by which time I was freezing after it'd been a nice day to be out.

Why did they choose the week we do the census to give us (the duty I'm doing at the minute) the most door to doors ever? 6 bloody booklets. The thickest heaviest door to doors I've ever seen. Six of them. Free samples, free pens. WHY THIS WEEK??
Two hours overtime.

Unless you want to OT just tell your manager you're going to cut off and then do it!NewPostieUK wrote:Why did they choose the week we do the census to give us (the duty I'm doing at the minute) the most door to doors ever? 6 bloody booklets. Re: The "How was your day" thread.
No d2d prepped as usual, didnt seem to be a third of the census prepped either but that's not my problem. Out late after lapsing and bagging and bundling, key for first box didnt fit, worked like a slave and finished 35 mins over. What fresh hell tomorrow? Oh i know, same sh*t, different lies and excuses.

Managers should try managing workload for a change.
