Yes it was, BUT most of the changes are focused on Deliveries & people in deliveries were out voted from the outset.

Deliveries don't want extra work/d2d's or lapsing or even a normal service day Saturday
I reckon deliveries voted NO while everyone else voted for the payrise plus bonus.

Deliveries were shafted with no say, as my manager said 'If you don't like it then meet mister door'.

Come on people, where do all the changes take place if not in deliveries, everyone else gets less work we get shafted.

Absolutely, deliveries were sacrificed in this deal to keep everyone else happy! :Sick

If you are as childish in your own DO it is no wonder your managers can piss all over you.
this is not a chatroom its a chat forum ..which im sure some of the CWU read to gage opinion of their actions ..but i guess as in every forum they have the nasty types like your self ..go away silly boy

yes but wait till all them pt workers get greedy and turn militant ,wait until all the mail centres are gone with all their yes votes, wait until all the transport is franchised out to our comp.
this will eventually make deliv staff stronger rmwont know whats round corner there only looking short term they cant see big pic of more disgruntled deliv staff who will become more militant and less ready to accept pretence of fast buck by cwu or rm.they could have shot themselves in foot with their slash n burn policies :hmmmm

Despite the rhetoric from those in the know, the bullying and harassment continues, is there really full inclusion in change, why after calling a national ballot did the union call off the strike after 48 hours and agree to all the things that RM wanted anyway. The CWU let the membership down, after months of talk we are 12 months down the line no nearer to modernisation, parity, equality and now they have the gall to say it isn't working.

I love this thread it proves hindsight is a wonderful thing, we all have it.

If all the membership had thought about the agreement before the vote, as much as they are now, the vote would have been a resounding no.

On second thoughts, that's wrong, totally wrong

the reason the vote was yes, is because the majority of the postal workers got a £14 a week rise for doing bugger all, all those who never touched a D2D before the agreement are now getting £14 a week because of it, on top of all the other incentives, if you were a mail centre worker, Lorry driver, Cage worker, on an industrial walk etc, etc, who had never seen D2D wouldn't you vote YES for a £14 a week payrise, and sod your fellow workers taking a £14 a week pay cut. ?

Wrong.........The reason the vote was yes is because 1000's of members could'nt be bothered to put an X in either box and post their ballot paper.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet

this agreement was another blank cheque request from HQ and they got it so who is really to blame.
as a lowly local rep i am confused as to what is said to me by my div rep, and what is said to the revision planners.
He tells me everything is negotiable, yet the planners are of the opinion that nothing is negotiable and that i am there to rubber stamp their proposals.

Still, if nothing else, i am keeping the area and div rep busy.

There are too many meetings which local reps are not present for but that decisions come from that we are expected to adhere to. i know of an office near me that the local rep told the planners the members would be happy with the proposals if the planners could go out and prove the walks were possible. They stuttered and blurted out were planners we don't do walks. He went on and told them he had lost all confidence in them and their proposals. Not gone far since then as they don't know what to do

Factually wrong in parts I am afraid - The other functions DO NOT GET THE DELIVERY SUPPLEMENT they get their own supplements and IIRC,

Mail Centres, Collection Hubs and MDECs (although there are various bonuses that affect this) get £8.00
Lorry Drivers - if they are in the Delivery Function they will get the Delivery supplement (this covers your industrial duties as well) just as Cage workers and Callers Office as per the agreement and its £20.60 pro rata)
RDCS - Get £11.00 (as would their Lorry Drivers)
Walk Bundling Centres - get £11.00 (and they handle more D2Ds than any other function)
HWDC - Are getting £20.00
Network Drivers (the main part of the "Lorry Drivers" in your post I think) as far as I can tell dont get a supplement.

I stand corrected then, but wasn't it the Union themselves who said that the delivery supplement in it's various forms was to replace the D2D payment and give everyone a slice of the D2D pie, even if they only pushed them onto a lorry.

Oh now I see where the confusion has come from:

No the CWU said at the time that the Delivery Supplement monies would be made up from the ESA 1 and 2 and D2D monies so that the cost to RM would remain the same.
The 2010 agreement says:
To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed. D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement paid 52 weeks a year for all delivery employees (OPG and ORR) pro rata for part time employees.
Which amounts to the same thing.

However in essence I agree with you, because various people within the Delivery Function who previosuly did not do D2D but now get Del Supplement, then 1 would say the Majority of people who actually delivered D2Ds loose out if on average they deliver more than 2 D2Ds per week.

He tells me everything is negotiable :left:
Performance parameters in IWT and Pegasus are all non negotiable.
Walk speeds
time at door
time for attendance call
sort rate
prep rate
yet the planners are of the opinion that nothing is negotiable and that i am there to rubber stamp their proposals. :left:
Things that are negotiable include
The model week
BSI (efficiency) to an extent.

Not sure if the call rate is, or isn't. perhaps someone else can help you with that.

The people who get the money and do no D2D delivery should be the ones who put it in the frame for us.

The most simple way to look at it is that EVERYONE that is a D.O worker get the delivery supplement due to DTD being in workload. Everyone (on paper) gest the same hourly rate including supplement.

Same hours same wages for all.

If you re-structure pay within the existing paybill then its amost certain to end being winners and loosers.
