Apparently there was a chemical scare at the Kirkintilloch office this morning.
Two posties fainted and all staff were held in quarantine for the day.
Anyone know the full details?

Health alert at Kirkintilloch Royal Mail office
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-g ... t-12577607" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
An investigation is under way after a Royal Mail Delivery Office in East Dunbartonshire was evacuated following a health scare involving staff.
Emergency services were called to the depot in Campsie Road, Kirkintilloch, at 0915 GMT on Thursday after five workers complained of feeling unwell.
All 36 staff were evacuated and those who felt unwell recovered once outside. They did not require medical treatment.
It is thought that ink from leaflets at the centre caused them to feel unwell.
A Royal Mail spokeswoman said: "Royal Mail can confirm that an incident took place at Kirkintilloch Delivery Office yesterday morning which resulted in the building being evacuated.
"We are working closely with Strathclyde Police on their investigation into this incident.
"Royal Mail responded quickly to the incident as our first concern is the health and safety of our people.
"Royal Mail apologises to customers in Kirkintilloch who have received some disruption to their service yesterday."

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

A ROYAL Mail depot was at the centre of a health scare yesterday when several workers fell ill - after coming into contact with dodgy INK.
Emergency crews raced to the sorting hall in Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, following an alert sparked by a single package.
Five staff were examined by medics after complaining they felt faint and nauseous. A total of 36 were evacuated shortly after 9am as fire service crews combed the building.
Last night health and safety bosses were probing the alarming incident.
But it is believed an investigation was narrowed down to a specific item of mail believed to have had rogue ink used on it.
One source said: "People felt terrible. Some thought they would faint and others felt nauseous.
"A lot of them were light headed. There was a fair bit of panic and people were starting to worry."
A Strathclyde Police spokesman said: "As a precaution 36 workers were evacuated.
"None of those claiming to be unwell required medical treatment and were OK out in the fresh air "Inquiries are continuing, but at no time was there any threat to the public."
A Royal Mail spokeswoman said last night bosses responded quickly to the incident.
But she admitted the scare had affected mail deliveries in the area.
She added: "We apologise to customers for any disruption."

WTF did they put in the ink and why was it only a problem when it got to the office, you'd have thought the printers would have had a more serious issue with it.It is thought that ink from leaflets at the centre caused them to feel unwell.

Re: Kirkintilloch Glasgow
I doubt the printers would have had to handle them as we do. One time I too was overcome with some kind of nausea when getting my hands all over some leaflets. It wasn't so much with the smell that made me want to wretch my guts, but some interaction resulting from the handling of said material.
Mind you, if you're working in a printing environment, would it not be sensible to wear a mask. You know, the ones that most car paint sprayers will use that cups both their mouth and nose.
I've never really been into all that glue-sniffing sh*t, so I doubt I was conscience (aware) of wanting to be doing a little ink-sniffing on the side.

More than likely the quick response included:
Panicking.
Calling next one up in food chain.
Pulling hair out.
Getting extra coffee.
Calling the six who felt unwell wimps and to get on with the job.
of course we all know what the final question was in this scenario:
Was it: 1. Are you OK.
or 2. Is it safe to go back in.
or 3. How can we stop this happening again
No of course it was 4. You are OK to complete aren't you.

Glad to hear everyone was OK and it wasn't as serious as rumours suggested.
