Re: Annual Leave at Christmas
Blimey, they abolished xmas pressure in West London about three years ago, and for the last three Christmases, the fortnight immediately before Dec 25th has been open for annual leave to whoever wants it, well, in my office it has anyway.

Re: Annual Leave at Christmas
It's out of the unit reps hands in this area anyway. Royal Mail are citing "operational needs". Area Rep say that there's nothing can be done. Agreed ceiling limits for this year between myself and DOM have now been reduced from 20 to 10 last week of November, 2011 and first week in January 2012. First week after Christmas 2011 annihilated altogether. If annual leave had been displayed prior to this decision then unit rep to go to disagreement; otherwise deal with it. Nothing to do with shite snow or the fact that RM thought it would be a spiffing idea to introduce Delivery Methods just before the busiest time of the year then in key offices?POSTMAN wrote:You're all being mugged, dare i ask what the rep's view on this is?

Re: Annual Leave at Christmas
How about this then, in HR Services we had a block on all of November, December, 1st week of January and now for 6 weeks in May and June this year. What thanks do we get for this? Loads of redundancies that's what.
