Oh yes PhilthyPhil , also for carrying specials . Would a PDA be deemed to heavy to be in a pouch bag . This is what I mean when in my earlier post I said it's a bit of a grey area for what you can carry in a pouch bag or even if your allowed to carry a pouch bag over the shoulder at all . This is where my office and daveyeff office can start to make up their own rules and managers can turn a blind eye . Soon it becomes one bundle in the pouch bag then two or maybe three , until you work out the loops and realise you don't need a trolley at all . It's a f**king minefield .
It's not a minefield if the delivery revision is done properly.
If you are assigned a trolley to your delivery...that's what you use.
How difficult is that?
If you want to make excuses not to use one that's up to you.

From some of the posts on here like ditch the trolleys lads and pouches on p&l there does seem to be some difficulty in some posties , union reps and office managers understanding the new delivery methods . Either the message isn't getting passed down to all levels or a lot of people are choosing to ignore the new ways of working .
Like you said " if the delivery revision is done properly " but how many offices are doing it properly and how many are trying to wing it . Until either RM management or the CWU take a lead and try and get the message across of " do the job right " in my opinion it's a minefield and a free for all and I fear for the future of RM employees who are doing the job correctly .
So let me get this right,we have had for years a do the job properly thing with the CWU have we now got to go through it again with trolleys!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
