A THIEF who stole a light from a Royal Mail bicycle said he did it because the weather was foggy.

Karl McKay, aged 24, of Wilderspool Causeway, pleaded guilty to stealing the light from the bike which was outside the Post Office in Golden Square.

The incident occurred after he had walked into the town centre at 2am on January 20 to withdraw money.

Warrington Magistrates Court heard last Thursday how McKay was caught on CCTV cameras tampering with the bike.

He was arrested shortly after and admitted the theft at the scene.

The court heard that McKay had health problems and previous convictions for theft.

He was given a 12 month conditional discharge by magistrates.

Thankfully the thief didn't get charged for assault & battery.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
