Postman and bank worker fined for parking fraud in Battersea and Tooting

A postman has been ordered to pay more than £1,200 in fines after he was caught using his dad’s disabled parking permit while delivering mail.
The posty was charged with fraud along with a bank worker and one other driver, who were collared for repeatedly using blue badge parking permits to park in Tooting.
Agnieszka Dyczkowska, who works at a bank in Tooting Broadway, was prosecuted by Wandsworth Council after she was found to be using a badge, which had previously been stolen from an 87-year-old disabled woman, so that she could park for free in Bickley Street while working.
The 31-year-old, from Thornton Heath, appeared at South Western Magistrates’ Court on February 4 where she pleaded guilty to one count of handling stolen goods, and five counts of fraudulently using a blue badge. She was fined £1,015 and ordered to pay £500 towards the council’s prosecution costs.
On the same day, Paul Francis, a postman from St Luke's Avenue, in Clapham, admitted using his father's badge to park on the Surrey Lane estate in Battersea while delivering mail.
He pleaded guilty to five offences and was fined £715 with £500 costs.
Finally, Adil Rehman, of Manship Road, Mitcham, was fined £515 and told to pay £500 costs for using his father’s badge to park all day in Mellison Road whilst working at a printing and stationary business in Mitcham Road.
All three drivers also had to hand over £260 each to retrieve their cars after they were towed away and impounded for being illegally parked.
The council's transport spokesman, Councillor Ravi Govindia, said: “These motorists should hang their heads in shame.
“Not only are they taking away parking spaces from people who are genuinely disabled, but they have no qualms about leaving their elderly parents and relatives cruelly cooped up indoors just so they can save themselves a few pounds each day.
"Anyone tempted by blue badge fraud should remember that we receive a steady stream of tip-offs from colleagues, neighbours and sometimes even their own families.”
Anyone with information about blue badge misuse can contact the council's team of investigators by calling 0800 085 0866 or emailing parking@wandsworth.gov.uk.

Postman fined for using disabled badge to deliver mail
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
