We tried this for a while but it didn't workclashcityrocker wrote:You put the blue pouch in the pillar box (or the Post Office if too bulky)
When the driver empties the box he puts the pouch to one side and takes it back to the DO.
Or the PO keep them to one side and the driver takes them back to the DO.
What's the problem?

Re: Returning Missorts
Never had the pouch off system at our place, well not in my 20 odd year sentence, We dont have a problem with returning missorts via the driver if can arrange for them to be picked. problem is the last couple of bags, drivers long gone and you have a few missorts for the start of the walk. easier to bung them in the two busy boxes on my way home

Re: Returning Missorts
Its a very rare shift where I do not have to endorse 5+ missorts, before placing them in the correct frame slot, ready for the next day. My frame is usually "double-prepped" by a colleague, who is also my assigned van driver for bag drops and oversize packets, so I do empathize with their time constaints (up until now it has worked fine, I get more overtime to boost my 22.5 contract hours, by finishing off prep).
Most of them are down to the crazy numbering system on one of the roads, with ~12 drop points numbered as "xA" before the numbering returns to "x" using the same numbers, in addition to multiple drop points having the very same number (such a great system)!
There does tend to be the odd missort through "right number, wrong road" which bizarrely both my double-prepper and myself seem to do a lot on the same section of the frame, despite the two roads having very different names.
Back when I started, I used to backtrack on my bike on my old walk to deliver any missorts, just before heading back to the depot!

Problem is it is unlikely we get 100% perfect in sorting. 99.3% yes but 100% no.
