'DEPUTY MANGERS' TO BE RECRUITED

There is a drive in the East of Scotland Region to recruit no less than 60 'Deputy managers', starting very soon. The ad states that 'only a short interview is required', (i.e. any Muppet can get the job).

Anyone smell a rat? Why 60 vacancies, and why now? Could this be the start of the 'Casual Manager', ready to be called up for the next bout of IA at short notice?

I fear that RM are mighty pissed off about the last few weeks and are shoring up their position against the next wave of IA.

Does anyone else know of similar recruitment plans elsewhere in the UK?

All acting managers in our office, were 100% behind I/A. Fair play to em. But have noticed a distinct attitude change towards postmen in the last week. They seem more pro management.

Part of the problem in Royal Mail is their are too many 'managers' aka crawl up any arse I can find for an easy life.

It's these 'managers' that are bleeding the company to death, they were all made on the same production line in a factory and wheeled out when they had their microchips inserted in their defunct brains.

Our DOM delights in fawning to his sector area manager, she has been with 'the business for nearly 30 years!'

Is this not where the fundamental problem lies within Royal Mail, it's being run by a bunch of fossils who could'nt get a management job in any other company.

Why don't they all f**k off and try to get a real job where they have to work.

If the managers went on strike, nobody would notice, all the days we don't have a manager in our office it runs like clockwork, need I say more :nana
