It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
Your current allocation is 711 shares comprising 408 shares issued in 2007 and 303 shares issued in 2008 which were until recently worth £1.51 each. There is currently a re-evaluation underway at the moment so the current value is unknown until this is finished.

Share in Sucess finished about 3 or 4 years ago IIRC.
As people have pointed out there is a 50% payout on the Colleagueshares this year but no way will that be £1200 - based on previous years payouts a 100% payout would be just over £1k - also again based on previous years its around Apr May that we actually end up getting it.
and there's me believing Alan when he gave me the glossy brochure promising £5,000 + ,I'm beginning to have doubts about this firms integrity
Response from CWUHQ to questions about Colleague Shares
We are getting a lot of calls as well. Dave has written to Royal Mail on this subject and is awaiting a reply. Under the terms of the ColleagueShare scheme the shares will be valued in the new financial year (June?) and members will have an opportunity to sell them back to the business at their current value. Or they can keep them another year to see if they go up in value and sell them at that stage.
When we get a reply from Royal Mail we will put out an LTB.
Regards,
Norman Candy

No - IIRC they said they would be worth £5000 (Pro rata of course) over their lifetime - not at final payout. I think approx £3500 has been paid out in dividends, BT2010 deals and revisions so with just over a £1000 to come (based on old figures) they actually wont be that far off.

Dividend is an annual thing ,totally separate from share value ,think of it as interest accrued . £5350 was the value promised ,payable in two parts, that is the "capital worth" where is it ?

Royal Mail Group faces a challenging future. Transforming the Company
into a really competitive, successful business will require a major commitment.
As a mark of Royal Mail Group’s commitment to you, we have created the
