How do you go about getting a job in the dept, what is the proper name for it?

its just something that interests me, but never see the jobs advertised externally

I believe you need to be appointed to the RM board............that's the only way into RM fraud.

Theres about 220 investigators across Royal Mail Group. That includes RM,PO & PFWW. Not alot to be honest...

What was called POSIS - has gone through numerous reorganisations and changes to the point now where there is no single organisation as such each business unit has their own local investigators. Speak to someone of EL1 grade or above they'll give you some info. Not much point in asking your Lino they wont know.

In anycase getting a job with these guys is almost zero.

If my line manager `forgets` to pass my overtime (or knocks off half n hour ) to the booking room (many posts about this problem on here) can I complain to the IB ? Defrauding me of my wages and cooking the books.

You can say that again . Especially when one of them is sent down for an unhealthy obsession with collecting reclaimed specials under his desk :angel 3.40 at Kemptown anyone

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
