The Royal Mail is instituting a massive restructuring of the service. Rounds are being altered, delivery methods changed, new technology introduced, bikes scrapped, hours extended, delivery offices closed, all in the name of something they call ‘modernisation’.

May I suggest reading some of Roy Mayalls links as its quite evident from them that he is a working postie facing the destruction of a once great service along with the rest of us. In fact with his book "Dear Granny Smith" he has been more successful than perhaps the CWU has at getting our views across to the public. For that I am personally grateful.

Yes, I'm a working postie, watching the destruction of a once-great service from the front-line, as it were, in the delivery office, and out on the round. I think the CWU are suspicious of me, as I've offered my services, but they've not responded.May I suggest reading some of Roy Mayalls links as its quite evident from them that he is a working postie facing the destruction of a once great service along with the rest of us.
