It depends on where you work, and when they're next planning to cut Duties.

Also depends on how many vacancies you have.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It's the old chestnut Rockhopper, do you think you're likely to get it? If you're an old sweat they'll just keep you hanging on for a couple of years. If you've got ages to go they'll just jerk you about until you think, "Bugger this I'm off!"
Either way it what's saves them the most money! Especially now when RM seems even tighter than ever. Most DIMs are cacking themselves in case they have to MAKE anyone redundant, hence no FT recruiting for most offices for the last 2 or 3 years. Even though we're working our tits off. Look at the latest batches of 22.5 hr guys on 12 week rolling contracts. :no no
Good Luck though if you're looking for it, a few posts on here are at least mentioning PTers being made up FT, so you might be in with a chance. :Very Happy

See you're in a MC Baldrick, I take it you guys are looking to take cuts? Don't wish to get involved in an US v THEM type argument, there's enough of them going on, and I'm no expert on MCs. :d'oh!
However, have you got the numbers to start laying people off? Talking to our Delivery Driver he says our local MC has been cut to the bone and there's certainly not a lot of guys standing about anymore.
Just Curious to get a shop floor view. :Very Happy

No we haven't got any spare capacity now. But RM want to close 2 of the 3 MCs in London. We don't think it can work, and the London CWU Division Committee has commissioned an independent consultant's review of RM's proposals. Dingo says that we should get RM's decision on Wednesday. But it looks like at least 1 if not 2 of the MCs will be closing, in which case there will almost certainly be VRs.

Hope you keep your job mate. That's if you want it. :whistle We've been told they're holding off recruiting people JUST IN-CASE they have to make people Compulsorily Redundant from Nearby Offices and MCs. They then have to offer those guys jobs in nearby Offices. So you might end up wheeling a Big Red Pram about if you fancy that. :Very Happy

MC staff do not get the delivery supplement. It is what it says on the tin.

You idiot. Only people on delivery get the money for d2d. M.C. staff get nothing for sorting them etc.

We don't get any money for d2d, but we don't sort them or deal with them except to send boxes of them to DOs.
