Re: Change over to Monthly pay
I'm afraid RedBagMan is a product of the new model RM. No service, part time and prepared to put up with anything that RM want...............maybe he would be a candidate for a union position

We just have photocopies of them, printed on the reverse of other printouts (saving paper, saving the environment). But we do still have them. If we didn't, and there wasn't an alternative (besides word of mouth). Then there's no way I'd do ANY overtime EVER! If there's no "paper trail", then you've no way of proving you've done the overtime. So any mistakes could potentially lead to no payment at all.POSTMAN wrote:He's filling out one of those green docket (rem them?) things with thingy.fishtank wrote:I love the moaning about moaning posts.![]()
Where is NT anyway?
Mind you as of next week our revision kicks in and we will NEVER have to go over, the dom promises
quick remedy is to cut off ...now thats a good idea then theres no problem obtaining what's rightfully yours (overtime) think the mesage would soon hit home....me i'd just do my hours and no more
Yeah i did try that for 6 months but the trouble was no one else bothered as they simply started getting in 45 min early. I gave up in the end as no one was backing me up and i was even getting stick for cutting from my own CWU members for christ sake
In the end i just booked 30 min OT on a sat and it became the norm.
As of next week ive given up the van and all the tracked items
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

How likely is this? Yes, I know that this Monthly pay chestnut pops up with cyclical regularity but is it even actively being considered?banjo1t wrote:Management will try to get us all on monthly pay

They have been trying for at least 20 years...it is always being considered but to be honest with a lot of the payroll systems now computerised and automated there isn't the savings involved that there used to be.Indy wrote:How likely is this? After privatisation....who knows?
Payroll may be outsourced in which case it's very likely.

Re: Change over to Monthly pay
Cant see this happening as the time has been removed from the balance duty. It was better when you had a paper trail as you could photocopy your own docket to check when you got a payslip.andy2007 wrote:Can't your Rep get the Dockets re-instated?

Iv'e only worked my time for many a year iv'e no intention of going over
my life is more important to me than any little 'fix' for royal fail especially the t*ats they have running the offices
many have tried but failed i'm quite resolute in my outlook and will not let them persuade me otherwise, no matter what pressure they put on me

Yeah fair comment.
Trouble is with my office too many have far easier rounds than the one i had. Some started their revision walks last week and were still going home before noon. Also 60% of staff are STILL using cars which no one wants to do anything about and no one cuts off.
I was the ONLY one who cut off xmas eve and i got plenty of stick from my own colleges for even doing that

Iv'e not done o/t for many many years if there is any chance of me going to have to do o/t just to complete my delivery then i inform them prior to leaving the office .... it's not an every day occurence but with the revisions looming i guess it could be
It's your choice to book overtime if you want to it cannot be forced upon you oif you don't want it . The fact is iv'e not done it for so long i have a track record of nil o/t so they cannot say ''you did it on so & so date'

Re: Change over to Monthly pay
I dont mind doing the odd 20 mins on a sat (which i book 30) to finish the delivery. Your right though it is my choice and iam planning to stop once i get on my new delivery. I ve found that you just have to watch what you do so that it does not get out of hand and you end up working a 9hr day just to clearaxeman wrote:Iv'e not done o/t for many many years if there is any chance of me going to have to do o/t just to complete my delivery then i inform them prior to leaving the office .... it's not an every day occurence but with the revisions looming i guess it could be
