A big announcement
Not sure if this is national but we are being given a "Big announcement" Tomorrow.
Not sure what it entails to be honest.
The union rep and manager did tell us Royal mail are going to run out of cash in may,But heard that one last year so not fussed.
Our office changes have been delayed to 20th march.
Now rumour has is it that our office have been told that we are not allowed the amount of vans we need.
Another rumour is they are going to keep bikes,Have 4 rounds to be delivered by 3 bike men and a 4th man in a van goes aroung delivering specials/parcels/tracked and maybe does some delivery.
I cant type in detail because the baby is kicking off and doing my fecking brains in!!!!
Anything happened in your offices?

Re: A big announcement
P&L revision out, tabletop revision in. Expect that to be your announcement, it's what's happened in my office.

Re: A big announcement

Re: A big announcement
so if you have a tabletop revision, does that mean you won't have any of the new delivery methods, etc??
..wonder what dingo has to say about all this.
seeing as he 'bigged up' what a great deal this was with all the different bonuses being paid.
now we're starting to hear bonuses won't be paid as people are having the wrong sort of revision.

Re: A big announcement
Any type of Revision that makes a Delivery Unit more efficient (i.e. saving hours) or where a re-sign is justified, I would have thought qualified for the initial bonus payment

Except knowing RM they will just say that it wasn't part of the agreement so they aren't going to cough up.Ahebban wrote:Any type of Revision that makes a Delivery Unit more efficient (i.e. saving hours) or where a re-sign is justified, I would have thought qualified for the initial bonus payment

Then it's no PAYEE no PLAYEE i would have thought

Re: A big announcement
I wouldn't worry about the initial bonus payment Ahebban...it is after all only a hundred and fifty bucks after tax for losing more hours and jobs from this company and a table top will achieve that without any of the benifits to the membership that come with a Delivery Methods revision so it's win/win for Royal Mail again and if the members complain...tell them they should have voted NO in the first place as the money was already theirs.Ahebban wrote:Any type of Revision that makes a Delivery Unit more efficient (i.e. saving hours) or where a re-sign is justified, I would have thought qualified for the initial bonus payment
Now the other £800....that might be a little more elusive.....
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: A big announcement
But , "nothing is agreed till everything is agreed" So if one scheme fails then it's back to 3 D2D a week and payment for each and every, all or nowtMisterPostie wrote:Except knowing RM they will just say that it wasn't part of the agreement so they aren't going to cough up.Ahebban wrote:Any type of Revision that makes a Delivery Unit more efficient (i.e. saving hours) or where a re-sign is justified, I would have thought qualified for the initial bonus payment

LOL Godda laugh aint ya?
s**t happens,i want a van with a mate and a trolley,my union has agreed it with the business so end of.
This could be another one of 'those' threads, uncle Bob aint looking in is he?
Anyone that fecks off P&L needs their head examined, and deserves everything they get.
The kind of revisions we've had for years.
All done by hand as such,by the rep and a few senior blokes.

It's like,''we want 80 hrs out of the office'',so you look for savings like a couple go part time and other duties get absorbed in the office for ever.postghost wrote:Can someone clarify what a "tabletop revision" entails??

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
