told in WTLL today that RM is skint and the dom will be going through the duties and giving them a tweek here and there..........

i brought up the issues of weight off the shoulder and CDVs but he swereved the issue 3 times!!!!

i reported a loose wheel on my trolley and he almost hit the roof, "DO YOU THINK I HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO THINK ABOUT"

he seems to be under extreme pressure today, SHOULD HAVE HIM WELL OVER THE EDGE BY SATURDAY

Now the nitty gritty,as in my place and no doubt other places as well IWT throws up whatever figures it throws up,so there is then savings thrown up.
So what's the next step?
At my place a 'counter offer' has been put in.

The figure they have given my place will kill the job on the heavy days 100% guaranteed.
And what if there is no vacancies for duties to then go part time?

The number at our place is ludicrous, unachievable, and no doubt orgasmically phantasmagoric in the lunatic way that it was conceived. I've been trying to get it into a few thickos heads around me that they're the ones who are helping to design these loony figures by coming in forty minutes early and running around. My driver and I are the only ones who can have a sensible chat about it; they're doing themselves out of jobs, or they're doing their mate out of a job. Either way, they're hideus. Most of their duties can be done in time so there's NO NEED TO START EARLY.

But they do.

Why oh why do they do this to themselves?

When they cut out the proposed 600 hours (I think that's what it is - I have to admit I took a step back and cleaned out my ears when I initially heard the figure, so it's entirely possible that I misheard), there are a number of people who will willingly work for free at my place so that the managers can laugh at their stupidity.

Too many folk at our place are afraid of conflict. I can understand their reasoning in some instances, but their jobs are much more secure than mine - twelve years on a permanent contract = full employment rights, whereas 8 months on a temporary contract = walking on frakking clouds. I guess I'm just learning to stand up for myself whereas these fools, these fools never have done, never will do. I guess walk-overs are a manager's dream. I prefer folk who fight their own corner without fighting for the sake of fighting.

My DOM must have the same document because hes already mentioned lapsing on a monday and tuesday or the
other option on offer 'wont effect anyone ' he says,just take out 60 to 100 hrs and part timers
will revert to their contracted hrs(many cover duties that are 30 hrs but their contract is for 25),needless
to say my ADR is all for it.

Was there not a LTB late last year allowing 'small' changes to be made prior to any revision?

p.s when are we gonna march on wimbledon and smash up Greggs

Very crap turnout for meeting this morning about 1/5th of the membership actually attended. So we had our discussion and I then at the end asked for a show of hands so as to accuratley gauge whether the collective view was for or against. Apart from from abstainer all other mbrs in attendance were a no vote.

Now moving to formal paper ballot so as to get the opinion of ALL mbrs if thats a no then RML will move to impose a revsion on us.

Apathy in Nirvana...bad sign for all of us.

Welllllllll..............I suppose that depends on what recourse the imposition is applied on.........it did say in the agreement that neither RM nor CWU would countenance any delay.............and simply saying NO to any reasoned argument for the revision proven by the IWT to be the case without any reasoned argument against would probably NOT be classed as EA by the CWU. Who knows what pressure could be applied at a higher level to have ANY revision accepted if it suited a purpose.

Would citing the countless failed revisions in Dundee etc and subsequent concerns (100 BSI in IWT etc) expressed by some
ADR's where revisions have gone ahead not be enough?

If office revisions are not driven by budgets and IWT has not been formally agreed then lets have revisions using IWT to
save some some folding? Mr. Gibson -IWT - sort it out or get tae f**k..

Got told today that they want 100hrs a week out by wk50 lads and lasses not happy, told Manager that how can he expect us to lose 100hrs by then when our Revision keeps getting put off and NO revision is based on Budget savings walked away to let him mull it over...........
