Hmmm i've seen a doc that says the management want walks absorbed full time to save on indoor hrs because the IWT has thrown up savings!
By doing this indoor hrs will be saved.
Would that be right?

Looking at it dispassionately I really cannot see the possibility of cutting any hours from the office. In order to get the members to accept any sort of cut they would have to come up with a very sneaky plan to split the office and achieve a yes vote. I can't see them managing that because they are thicker than pig s**t.
The ADR (though I respect him) isn't very popular with the troops. I can't see him swaying the vote.
Divisional rep? What is this strange creature of which you speak? My members have never seen one. I doubt any of them even believe in his existence.I think there is more chance of Nessie turning up at the DO.

This is how it's done.
1) You leave the 5 most senior duties alone...this gets you their vote AND the next 5 because they will have one eye on the future.
2) You offer the 5 most senior reserves the chance of a duty...same as above next 5 bump up the list...job done.
3) You offer the 5 most senior part-timers full-time hours,temporary of course until the bedding in period is over...again you've probably bought the next 5 votes just for the chance to get closer to full-time.
4) The money.
5) The threat of unagreed change.
Result....split orifice.

It's not my area so have no idea.

Now the nitty gritty,as in my place and no doubt other places as well IWT throws up whatever figures it throws up,so there is then savings thrown up.
So what's the next step?
At my place a 'counter offer' has been put in.

The figure they have given my place will kill the job on the heavy days 100% guaranteed.
And what if there is no vacancies for duties to then go part time?
