Had a look at our new walks today,my current delivery is one of the biggest but i have been "doing the job properly" and have not had any calls added!!
Other guys who have been doing the headless chicken bit have had about 200 more calls added to their walks,unfortunately for me they are more senior and have already indicated they will be getting off the walks they have messed up and putting in for ones like mine...i suppose this is what being "spit roasted" feels like.

Maybe your walk hasn't had any calls added because it's one of the biggest. If your walks are being planned on how quick people do them now with no other input then you're being screwed over by lazy planning.

Yes it is one of the larger ones now but it won't be after the revision.What really grates is the fact that the walks that some of the other guys have messed up by cutting corners will now be too big so they in the repick will get off them and pick up ones like mine leaving the crap for me again..

Our office only went over to walk sequencing recently, our mail centre sends it over in trays and we sling it in the frame. But our inward has gone up massively. We get a maximum of two trays early on and one more around 7.30ish but when we had coded bundles I might have had 10 of those when I got in first thing and another 2 at 7.30. So now all that mail that is not coming in the coded bundles is coming in as manual and our inward sorting times have gone through the roof as a result. We were told that there would be LESS sorting.

Exactly the same in my office, there has never been so much IPS, if they can't run all the mail through the WSM why don't they run the mech bundle one aswell. 80% of stuff we are sorting manually would go through either machine.

They go through the sequencing machines but the tolerance is much tighter ,so your walksorted mail goes into the sequencer but a fat percentage is rejected gets trayed up with other rejects and goes out to DO's for IPS; sorted -sequenced -mish mash

I couldn't say if the revisions are suspended but i can say that those fully integrated revisions in our area that have gone in are having a full overhaul including a change to the model week.

Edited the "in our area" bit.
