I agree with that. Remember how it looked when this started. L&C were not going to negotiate. But the great majority stood up to them and have forced them to back down. I think the CWU Negotiators know they will have to get an acceptable deal. If it is another c**p 'Way Forward' type deal the local branches and reps will not recommend it to the members. I think we will be able to mobilise for more IA. The members have learnt from the strikes so far. And we would be in a stronger position as volumes build up in the run up to Xmas. Also other unions might be joining us by then.
Be proud of what we have achieved together. Stay Strong!

And also, remember how advanced we are now as a workforce. We have the potential to reach any employee in RM as opposed to 7 years ago when the way forward come out. What am I on about???

THIS, the internet. We on here have the ability to discuss any new deal put forward to us as a membership. Something we could not do pre-way forward. Now, most of us have the internet and a form of electronic communication and we can get the general feel if any deal is put forward to us by the exec. Simple as that.

7 years ago, texting was a new phenonoman (?), only office type people had PC's and even if you had one at home, you were on a dial up connection. Now, ifo can be transferred at the touch of a button at lightning fast speeds. An example... this board today so far, 159 replies and over 3000 views in the space of 5 hours. I remember when strikes were run from phone boxes in the street. Now we have mobiles and can communicate with people very quickly.

So please, let the executive do their job. And if it is not a very good deal, I am sure they will find out.

Now more than ever we have to do our duties properly and give them nothing else.My walk is a total mess,all over the place and i'm not doing anything to help sort it out.Everyone has to just work as they should and RM are f****d and this without strike action.The pressure must be maintained but fear a lot of staff will bury their heads in the sand once again and just think about an early finish.Personally would never cut off my nose to spite my face and leave the union,i have to believe in them.

I wonder if Brown has told Dumb and Dumber to negotiate, weve all been sending Brown E-mails and letters telling him were not voting Labour anymore and hes probably seen that the majority of the public are on our side, the only reason i say this is because i heard that Brown was going to call a snap election in October because hes ahead in the opinion polls, if that is so then if we dont like the deal we are offered then we hold out and keep the dispute going, if a lot of other public sector workers disputes are settled then i might be right, its just a theory...UNITY IS STRENGTH.
