Smilers get mobile with Royal Mail's first iPhone APP

Royal Mail has launched its first Phone app. The new Royal Mail Smilers® app lets people instantly create their own personalised postage by downloading photos taken on their iPhone.
Smilers® work by placing a favourite photo next to a Royal Mail stamp, which can be used to share special moments with family with friends both in the UK and overseas. The new Smilers® app is free through the App Store and is an ideal way for people to share celebrations such as birthdays, weddings and new arrivals.
It’s easy to transform photos into Smilers® by following a few simple steps:
1. Initiate Application and open the Camera
2. Browse and select an image from the library, or choose to take a brand new one
3. Select either a round or rectangular Smiler design
4. Apply final tweaks to the zoom or cropping of the image
5. Select from a range of Stamps for the image to sit alongside
6. Confirm purchase and order the stamps!
After uploading a chosen image, users can pick from a range of different stamp designs and background themes, with the option to create either round or rectangle shaped Smilers, with designs available to suit all occasions.
Smilers are available in sheets of either 10 or 20, and prices start at just £7.80 for a sheet of 10 1st Class stamps. With secure payment through PayPal, customers will receive the sheets within five working days.

After uploading their chosen image to the Smilers® application, customers follow simple steps to choose their stamp design and order their very own sheet of personalised First Class stamps
