They are still saying all new walks in our revision will be posted up tomorrow...all shared vans.no bikes.no HCT's. To be in by summer,so looks like someone somewhere is still trying to push this one through...

Park and Loopy was supposed to be being trialed in my old section last April,then it got put back to August,then November, then we was told it would be in for February and then on Tuesday during work time boring and bullshite session was told that it was off until at least end of August

Perhaps this planner failed to correctly interpret the intended use of his IWT for this particular table top revision .

Spoke to one of our planners this morning, he says " no revisions have been abandoned or suspended any where in the country, all rumours." We are still pressing ahead with the park and loop disaster in April, implementing a partial re-sign, whatever the fook one of those is? Never heard of in 20 years. Our DOM still insists on lapsing 3 duties per day ,despite his refusal to take into account D2D in traffic volumes. Refuse to lapse and give up your scheduled overtime, can't be right but never mind. Always thought the premise behind lapsing was, if you could do it in your duty time. If you can't in our office your hounded to do it everyday and followed until you do it. Union reps not a clue, area rep don't want to know. Bring on the disaster,should be fun.

Ours has been at the very least suspended, more likely abandoned for a tabletop revision using the CDV's. We did have a partial deployment before xmas (not P&L as they're commercials and less than 10% of the office) and got the £600, today we got the next £200. Not bad for no P&L revision, this agreement is a cracker

It's a good point...how do you plan park&loop deliveries...without a planner?

We have had reports of existing walks bolted together and a van supplied. In some cases the loops are pretty much the whole walk and the van effectively becomes a pouch box on wheels. This is clearly unacceptable. To use this method properly requires an element of detailed planning especially on the loops to be employed. The whole purpose of shared vans is to reduce weight over the shoulder and loops should be as short as reasonably possible.

To introduce tabletops across the board at this time is simply a concession to Royal Mail because the whole agreement/revisions are on the verge of going completely tits up and neither side can afford for that to happen.
Rather than admit that they got it wrong Royal Mail will fudge and rather than expose the inadequacies of Royal Mail management and by association themselves,HQ will remain silent and expose the local reps to what will be a planning nightmare without any real guidance.
The delivery methods revision was supposed to involve a planner,that's why London has refused to move ahead with any without a planner...the guidance notes are based on the use of planners.
No planner...No delivery methods should be the default position across the union.
