Yep we got one in our office, but still a postie comes out with all the manager crap, i reckon hes sleeping with management, they like small dicks

Yeah what the f**k is a strike if not putting management under duress? Just said it on another thread but extending the work to rule and some unofficial action where if there's any victimisation would keep up pressure on both Royal Mail and Hayes/Ward - pressure needs to be applied to both sides as much as possible during this hiatus otherwise... well I don't want to think about it.

yea, it gives royal mail more time to sack full-timers! thats what they want, its the full-time longer serving posties that are opposed to change, even in my day of 7.5 years its not the job i went into! If royal mail had a force of part-timers who r afraid to and dont complain they cud do anything and get away with it

no way should the strike be called off.. we should keep going untill they stop this job cuts crap once and for all.. i thought this time the union would have some balls.. but its the same old same old..

I reckon that the PEC are doing well...

Suspending intended executive action and getting a commitment to negotiate on all issues is a good start.

1. The union and membership looks mature and reasonable in contrast to leighton's childish "im not gonna talk wiv you".
2. RM buckling after only 4 days makes them look 'weak' as well.
3. The membership can sees that the strike action is effective at mimum cost.
4. Gives some a chance to save up more beer money.
5. Has achieved the first steps in reaching an agreed settlement for the members, ie negotiations watched over by the TUC (cough, on our side).
6. No reason why we cant improve on doing the job properly, etc..
7. Easy to pick up where we left off now everyone knows how cool it can be. Many have learned to enjoy it (camaraderie, barbeques, football, cricket, 4 day weeks, etc)

and so on...

The joint statement the CWU proposed contained four references to 'negotiate' or 'negotiations'

The one they signed containes none at all

Go figure. . . .
