Personally i don't think the CS share price will make any kind of impact but it will be interesting if the value has gone up...how can a company that is supposedly in such sharp decline be worth more than than it was before the arse fell out of the whole financial world?
I predict....£1.27 per "share".

The original policy states that we have the opportunity to sell back our shares this year, and if not, they will be bought back next year.
I'm not aware that that's changed. Some posts on this thread read that we'll automatically get 50% this year and 50% next year. That is NOT what the CS scheme T&C's state.

You are correct however the 2010 (DOC ) says: (Page 59)
Additionally both parties recognise that ColleagueShares operates in a way that replaces our traditional approach to productivity and that only by reaching this agreement and working together to deliver transformation will the value of ColleagueShares be higher. The current value is £1.51 per share. They will be bought back by the company in two equal parts in 2011 and 2012.
So does the original contract for CS stand or is it superceded by the 2010 agreement.

These 'shares' are worth nothing. Open your eyes and see what they really are. They are a tool to be used for large multi nationals to take control and do as they wish, ie: sack you, redundant etc. They will offer you three times what you are told they're worth and most will fall for it thinkn g its a good deal.
You'll look back at it all and saay 'iif only we'd seen this coming'. :dcfo :vcfo

I've no idea, but that agreement doesn't apply to me

Oh really?! And you can justify that statement how?
Ok, we all realise they're not proper shares, they're merely a glorified bonus scheme, but they're certainly not a tool to sack us and make us redundant, and I'm really quite perplexed as to how you can think that.

Maybe he is confusing the concept of "phantom" shares that exist no where other than in theory, which is exclusively for staff of RM, sort of a "closed shop" ( especially those that were in at the start & are still employed by RM ), and those shares that are traded on open markets, that can and do affect the control of publically listed companies, and the staff and other assets associated with them.
The operative words above are CS = closed market, other shares = open market....simple, innit?
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Response from CWUHQ to questions about Colleague Shares
We are getting a lot of calls as well. Dave has written to Royal Mail on this subject and is awaiting a reply. Under the terms of the ColleagueShare scheme the shares will be valued in the new financial year (June?) and members will have an opportunity to sell them back to the business at their current value. Or they can keep them another year to see if they go up in value and sell them at that stage.
When we get a reply from Royal Mail we will put out an LTB.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
