Im just a local rep who dosent sign off revisions untill such time as the local mbrs INSTRUCT me to do so.

Mbrs are standing their ground at the moment so nearly two and a half months after the orignal no vote nowt has been introduced as I do NOT have a mandate from my mbrs to sign up to any changes.

Please explain as Ive made simple statement of fact in reply to a query about when the 39 hour week is due to be introduced. My D.O is not likely to see it untill the start of year 3 of the transformation plan as it wont be untill late this year the MC and larger D.Os get the new machines. If you want me to post a opinion on the 39 hour week then here goes,

Would it have been nicer to bring in the 39 hour week for everyone at more or less the same time, as we did with the way forward revisions for the 40 hour week? Of course it bloddy would!!! However the membership endorsed the 39 hour week to come in with WSM revisions which take place across the entire 3 year period.

How one local rep from England and one rank and file mbr from Scotland have let the "us" down is beyond me

At my D.O we have been trying to get a more amienable set of revison proposals developed in line wit the view points expressed by the local mbrs. Soon they will be given the the oppurtunity to tell me if they want me to sign up to the changes or not sign up to the changes.

Well i for one can relate to the above comment To you and the rest of our fellow unit reps who have to deal with crap from many many directions. We after all are only human and can and do make mistakes but at the end of the day its the members that have the final say the united members not one individual.

No.
A revision is a revision.
Savings plan.changes of duty,start times...the whole works.
It will be based around the fact that you now get WSM...but just getting the WSM isn't the revision itself.
We had WSM for about a year before we had our WSM revision.

No

A revision is when they change the duties to reflect a change in the process, or equalise deliveries, or when delivery methods change, and other myriad reasons. But basically if I understand it correctly a WSM revision is mainly changes to the indoor process (IWT, BSI etc), but it does and will have an impact on the outdoor part obviously.

FT & Teebs, thank you for that, especially as the thread went a bit off topic. Anyway that whole revision will be underway later in the year ( by July apparently - if it doesn't get pushed back again ), so there's lots more fun & games to go

That will not be their total mail, that is just the part that is walk sequenced. They will still be getting all of the walksort, flats etc and manual mail that has not been w/s

yes it is correct at the moment mail is light at the mo! we were told 2day as from next week we will be are getting main mail(lorry) will turn up at 6am! instead of 0745!,don't know what the sudden turn round is?
