Something else that just came to mind. I think i remember a H & S rule being brought in a few years back saying that drivers could only change a wheel on a vehicle up to Combi/Escort size. Anything above that size, Transit, High Tops etc HAD to be done by a mechanic.

That was why all the spare wheels were taken out of the larger vans, to prevent 'untrained personnel' from doing it.
