Re: d2d
Hi, how do you reckon you're not given any time to prep your D2Ds? We're told we're meant to throw the D2Ds in once we've prepped the mail (in reality most of us throw 1/6th in before we start) either way it'll take you at least 20mins to do that and if that's in the Firms time you'll be payed.
5 x 20 mins = 1 hr 20mins payed
If your DIMs trying it on then you'll have to try and sort it out. We all know what a Bunch of Lying Individuals they are.
Good Luck Mate.

Re: d2d
As D2D has now been moved into the normal workload (hence no D2D suppliment), it should be considered to be part of what you're sorting anyway. Therefore, they should include enough time for you to sort it. I know that isn't what's happening. But it's what RM agreed to. Can't your Rep do something about it?

Re: d2d
Some duties in our office had ten d2d last week, that's because they couldn't do them the week before due to unmanagable levels of other mail. Managers simple answer is "just do them next week," i don't suppose there's much else he can say! But as the undelivered stuff stacks up,just what are we telling the customers about their leaflets?
Surely we can't be just telling them nothing and taking their money!
Still no news on the sleeve for d2d that was to be triggered when over six were received?
There's plenty of previous threads on d2d with most of us calling that for the utter bullshit that was! Dave Ward said that the part of the 2010 agreement concerning d2d was "the most honest part of the agreement"

Our office had some Debenhams up to 20% off leaflets which weren't D2D's , when we got them to deliver it was to late the sale had been and gone , we were told to throw them in the bin . How does that work ? . Last week we were delivering M&M catalouges , the front page contained the words beat the vat increase .
Can you start using the word they instead of we , there's a good fellow . Us posties need to detach ourselves from this daylight robbery of RM's customers . I wonder how much of RM's income is from work they are not carrying out ? , either by not delivering on time or not delivering at all ( D2D'S etc ) , about 15% would be my guess . A total scandel .

The union and their reps are toothless and a waste of space.andy2007 wrote:As D2D has now been moved into the normal workload (hence no D2D suppliment), it should be considered to be part of what you're sorting anyway. Funnily enough I cant see any figure in BT2010 for automation of DTD. BT210 says commerical viabilty and volume but does NOT put a figure to volume.bunkerland wrote: Still no news on the sleeve for d2d that was to be triggered when over six were received? There's plenty of previous threads on d2d with most of us calling that for the utter bullshit that was! Re: d2d
just point out the maths, d2d should be compared to a coded tray, somewhere around 300 items , let the manager calculate the prep rate against the work load and the time you need to start delivery ........they won't have a leg to stand ontolkien wrote:8 next week all dated for next week , told have to take them by managers and union rep ,still no time allowed to prep them , anyone still think that this agreement is fair

Re: d2d
We've just had D2Ds dated the 3/1/11 put out today(Tue), what is the official line from the CWU with regards this matter. The managers just say"it's live mail, and has to go", but how can this be when they're 2 weeks out of date! They might like to regard it as live mail but can you refuse to do them as you don't have a sheet to sign them off because of the date on them. Also, if they want to go down the road of them being live mail, who is held accountable then for there late arrival into the office as it's wilful delay then isn't it?

You can only do a max of 6 a week. So if they give you 4 from previous weeks then they can only give you 2 more lots to make up to the 6.dazzlin72 wrote:We've just had D2Ds dated the 3/1/11 put out today(Tue), what is the official line from the CWU with regards this matter. The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.
