I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

At last a bit of honesty
I know he is ultimately the one that calls the shots but I must agree he has shown a style of management we just dont see anymore, honesty i just wished more would stand up and be counted. You cannot forgive what problems he has caused with the new system but sit down with the staff and listen for a change this also means you MOIRA.
The reality is and its not hard to understand any computer generated system will never ever give you a true reflection of the practical nature of the job as its tagged to budget cuts thus the system will always be flawed.RM have and will continue to drive efficency by false traffic figures which you have no control over and that sets up revisions for failure.
The postperson will never be doing enough while this continues, always being pushed to the limit and beyond but of course the computer says YES you can do it and the name of the game is to save money.Your welfare is secondry. Not surprised to see RM admit its failed and credit must go to the people of Dundee east for showing the system up for what it is.Its unworkable without goodwill.

Newsflash the new CEO of Royal Mail is Moya not Moira.
"Today’s workplace has become heartless and soulless. Employees are seen as units of labour, automatons, functionaries, objects for achieving designated tasks, and as costs to be minimised."
I am sure RM senior management will come up with some BS along the lines of "Yes the way it was implemented 'in Dundee' was flawed from the start....however in all our other offices it is being done differently and all is well in our La La Fantasy World"
We need a three wise monkeys smiley as well as :dcfo :ncfo and :vcfo
